  En janvier 1990, le sculpteur Richard Serra prononce à Yale une conférence après que son œuvre Tilted Arc, commandée par le gouvernement de L’Etat de New-York, ait été retirée de son emplacement et détruite pendant le transport, au motif de son "absence de qualités esthétiques".
